Country music artist Bailey Zimmerman is facing felony charges in New Mexico after allegedly causing significant damage to a hotel room.

Page Six confirmed that Zimmerman was charged with criminal damage to property exceeding $1000, alongside a misdemeanor charge for falsely obtaining services.

An arrest warrant for the singer was issued on June 18.

The charges stem from an alleged incident on May 27, the same night Zimmerman canceled his performance in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

At the time, the "Fall in Love" crooner informed fans via Instagram that he was unwell and needed to recover, stating he couldn't deliver the show they deserved.

This development is significant as it provides a different context to the previously cited reason for his show cancellation.

According to an affidavit obtained by TMZ, security at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque reported that Zimmerman appeared intoxicated throughout the evening.

Authorities stated he was observed stumbling, falling, and acting belligerently during soundcheck, even throwing equipment on stage.

After leaving soundcheck, he returned to the resort and subsequently canceled the show.

The affidavit further details that the resort asked Zimmerman to leave due to his behavior.

He reportedly refused to depart in a bus provided by the resort, leading the hotel to contact law enforcement.

After being escorted off the property, housekeeping discovered the hotel room had been destroyed, with damages amounting to thousands of dollars.

Fans had previously expressed disappointment over the short notice of the May 27 cancellation, with some noting it was announced less than an hour before doors were set to open.

Others pointed out a history of Zimmerman canceling performances with little warning.

Page Six has reached out to Zimmerman's representative for comment regarding these charges.
