Comedian Larry David has voiced strong disapproval regarding a recent UFC fight held at the White House, an event he claims left him feeling "embarrassed to be an American." David, known for his candid observations, shared his sentiments in an interview with Variety, where he described the occasion as a "travesty."

David's comments highlight a notable public reaction to the event, which was part of President Donald Trump's celebration of the nation's 250th anniversary.

The comedian's perspective offers a critical take on the intersection of sports entertainment and national commemoration.

Speaking at the premiere of his upcoming HBO series, "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness," David elaborated on his feelings.

The new sketch comedy show, set to debut on June 26, satirizes significant moments in U.S.

history and features a roster of celebrity guests, including Jerry Seinfeld, Vince Vaughn, Rita Wilson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Barack Obama.

Obama's company, Higher Ground, produced the series, with David noting that the former president is "really good at ad-libbing." The UFC Freedom 250 event itself marked Trump's 80th birthday and reportedly drew approximately 4,300 spectators, including 1,200 active-duty service members.

The event also included a performance of the national anthem by the Marine Band alongside Zac Brown, concluding with a flyover by the Navy’s Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds.

President Trump, departing the White House for the G7 summit in France, told reporters that the event was "beyond anything that anybody's ever seen in sports." Fox News Digital reportedly sought comment from the White House regarding David's remarks.
