Actor Kirk Cameron, known for his role as Mike Seaver in the hit series "Growing Pains," recently discussed his decision to move from California to Tennessee.

Speaking on the "Adam Carolla Podcast," Cameron cited California's "terrible politics" and other factors that he believes make it difficult to raise a family as primary motivators for his relocation.

This move highlights a growing trend of individuals, including public figures, reassessing their living situations based on political and lifestyle considerations.

Cameron reflected on his childhood in California, describing it as an enjoyable experience when parents cover expenses.

However, he noted that his own children, upon becoming independent, recognized the financial burdens and political climate that made thriving in the state challenging.

According to Cameron, this realization led his children to conclude, "Oh my gosh, we got to move.

We got to go somewhere where we can actually thrive and maybe even just survive."

Despite his reasons for leaving, Cameron expressed a desire to return to California in the future, acknowledging that the state "has just so much to offer." He also shared positive remarks about his new home in Nashville, Tennessee, highlighting the presence of many creative individuals with "good values" who are family-oriented and proud of their country.

He also humorously added that "the whiskey is great" and recommended Nashville for those who enjoy whiskey and hot chicken.

Kirk Cameron starred in all seven seasons of "Growing Pains," which aired for 167 episodes on ABC, portraying the oldest son in the Seaver family.
