Jennifer Lopez's latest R-rated comedy, "Office Romance," has quickly ascended to the top of Netflix's U.S.

movie chart, becoming the platform's biggest streaming movie as of June 7, 2026.

This achievement comes despite the film receiving a mixed critical reception, highlighting a disconnect between critical opinion and viewer engagement.

The film, which centers on a workplace romance, has surpassed other titles like "Fast Charlie" and "David" to claim the number one position, according to Flix Patrol.

This strong performance indicates a significant audience interest in the romantic comedy, making it a notable success for Netflix.

"Office Romance" features Jennifer Lopez as Jackie Cruz, the CEO of AirCruz, an airline company with a strict no-dating policy.

The plot thickens when Jackie finds herself developing feelings for Daniel Blanchflower, a lawyer who has recently joined the company.

Their secret relationship and the complications that arise from two career-focused individuals prioritizing their personal lives over company rules form the core of the story.

Brett Goldstein, known for his role as Roy Kent in "Ted Lasso," stars alongside Lopez as Daniel Blanchflower.

Goldstein also contributed to the film's script and served as one of its producers.

The production team includes Lopez herself, Benny Medina, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Andrew Swett, Aaron Ryder, and Joe Kelly.

Ol Parker, the filmmaker behind "Mamma Mia!

Here We Go Again," directed the project.

The supporting cast features Betty Gilpin as Sydney Bloom, Edward James Olmos as Captain Jack Cruz, Tony Hale as HR director George Dudek, and Jodie Whittaker as Daniel's sister Lizzy.

Mary Wiseman and Tony Plana also appear in key supporting roles.

While "Office Romance" has proven to be a streaming hit, critical and audience reactions have been less enthusiastic.

The film currently holds a 51% Tomatometer score and a 50% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside an IMDb score of 6.0/10.

Nevertheless, its rapid climb to the top of Netflix's charts suggests that a large number of viewers are opting to form their own opinions on the romantic comedy.
