Former contestants from *America's Next Top Model* (ANTM) have weighed in on Tyra Banks' recent legal action against Netflix and the producers of the docuseries *Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model*.

Angelea Preston, a contestant from ANTM cycle 17, and Adrianne Curry, the winner of cycle 1, both offered their perspectives following Banks' complaint.

Tyra Banks filed a lawsuit alleging that the *Reality Check* docuseries created a "false narrative" about her through "selective editing, deliberate omission, and and surgical manipulation of continuous footage." This development has drawn comments from former contestants who have previously voiced concerns about their own experiences with editing on the show.

Angelea Preston, who competed in ANTM cycle 14 and returned for cycle 17, told *Entertainment Weekly* that Banks' current situation echoes her own past allegations.

Preston claimed her initial victory in cycle 17 was edited out of the final broadcast, with another contestant crowned, after producers allegedly discovered her past engagement in sex work.

Referencing Banks' legal complaint, Preston stated, "Now you know how we feel.

It’s kind of like a taste of your own medicine, in a way."

Preston also challenged Banks, asking, "Can I see the footage?

Can I see it?" She further requested that if Banks wins or settles with Netflix, she should receive the $100,000 prize Preston believes she was denied.

Preston, now a news producer and journalist, speculated that many contestants felt abandoned after the show, facing an "ANTM stigma" in the fashion industry that closed doors for them.

Adrianne Curry, the first winner of ANTM, also reacted to the news in a social media video, suggesting Banks' complaint mirrored issues many contestants have raised for years regarding the show's production.

Curry chuckled as she recounted the information, saying, "Bitch!

For real, girl?" This collective reaction from former contestants highlights a long-standing tension between the show's production and its participants, making Banks' current lawsuit particularly resonant within the ANTM community.

Banks' complaint against *Reality Check* directors Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, and production company EverWonder Studio, alleges that she provided over three hours of interview material, of which only 16 minutes were used.

Her legal team claims her quotes were largely "stripped of context and reassembled to support a false and defamatory narrative." The lawsuit also takes issue with the series' portrayal of Banks' reaction to cycle 2 contestant Shandi Sullivan's allegations about a sexual encounter in Milan, which Banks' team asserts was misrepresented.
