The match, which took place at Arena Monterrey, saw Kaiser's El Grande Americano defeat the original, leading to Gable's unmasking.

Following the event, Gable took to social media, stating, "Tonight the mask died.

And suddenly I feel more ALIVE than ever." He later added that in lucha libre, "some moments live forever.

Tonight was one of them."

The event drew widespread commentary from various wrestling personalities.

The Undertaker described the bout as "An incredible battle to become the one and the only." Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer urged fans to watch the match, calling it "One of the great match presentations of all-time."

Bryan Alvarez, another prominent wrestling reporter, highlighted the crowd's reaction, noting that Kaiser was "massively over" but that it was "really Gable’s night to shine."
